ISU cancel European Figure Skating Championships

The ISU have cancelled the European Figure Skating Championships 2021 due to the ongoing covid-19 pandemic. The event was due to take place in Zagreb, Croatia from Monday 25th to Saturday 30th January.


The decision was taken in view of the worsening worldwide covid-19 pandemic and the consequent increasing risks for organisers and participants.


This news comes just a week after British Ice Skating announced their team. The athletes who were due to compete were Peter James Hallam in the men's and Natasha McKay in the ladies' with Lilah Fear and Ice Dance partner Lewis Gibson as well as Sasha Fear and George Waddell also set to feature.
