IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT - BASIC AND INTERMEDIATE NOVICE QUALIFIER JULY 2021

The ISU published Communication 2396 in June, Guidelines for International Novice competitions 2021/22. This communication has some implications for skaters in Basic Novice and Intermediate Novice in terms of the programme requirements.

The BIS Generic criteria state clearly that any ISU changes after publication of the BIS generic criteria will be incorporated into BIS events.

For avoidance of doubt, BIS would like to clarify that all changes in Communication 2396 with one exception will be followed at the Qualifier event starting on 26th July 2021. This means that only 1 x single jump and 1 x double jump may be repeated within the programme, either solo or in combination or sequence.

The only exception will be to the bonus elements. BIS will continue to award the bonus to elements as listed in the generic criteria, including an element with a fall if without an e, < or <<.
