Applications for World University Games open

The FISU Winter World University Games (WUGs) will take place in Lucerne, Switzerland from 11-21 December 2021, with the Curling competition running from 6-14 December 2021. BUCS is sanctioning a GB Students team to attend, including athletes from Short Track Speed Skating and Figure Skating.

Nominations

All athletes who wish to be considered for selection must submit an online registration on the BUCS website by 17:00 on 24th August and must have confirmed their commitment to attendance (pending selection) by 17:00 on 11th August to British Ice Skating: Perfomance@iceskating.org.uk.

Any athlete who fails to complete the online registration and submit the supporting documentation by the deadline may not be considered for selection. Please note that this process will necessitate your University confirming your eligibility in writing on a template form, and this being received by BUCS by the stated deadline.

Selections

Selections will take place on:

Short Track - 26th August

Figure Skating – 29th August

Selected athletes will be notified by email by 6th September and the team announced by 13th September.
