Important Announcement: CEO Stepping Down

08/04/24

British Ice Skating wishes to announce the resignation of Chief Executive Officer Michelle Draper. Michelle has decided that the time is right to step down so she can strike a balance between professional commitments and family life and her last day will be 8th April 2024.

While the Board reluctantly accepts Michelle’s decision, we fully understand and support the reasoning behind it. Michelle has worked for British Ice Skating for nearly 10 years, having served as CEO since 2018 and has been instrumental in driving forward significant improvements and progression within the Association during her tenure.

I would like to thank Michelle for her contribution to ice skating and I’m sure that you will join me in wishing Michelle well for the future.

Michelle wants to thank the staff and volunteers for their support and commitment and is proud of what has been achieved. She wishes continued success to the Association.

David Hartley has agreed to act up as Interim CEO whilst the Board recruits a new CEO.

Karen Rothery
