Adult Figure Skating Competitions - update and technical requirements

British Ice Skating is sorry to announce that the Adult Open that was due to take place in February has had to be postponed. This decision was taken on the basis of medical advice in line with the risks posed by the current state of the covid-19 pandemic in the UK.

Whilst we understand this news will be disappointing and frustrating for the adult skating community we would like to stress that the event has not been cancelled but postponed to a later date. All decisions were made with the health and safety of skaters, coaches and spectators as a priority. This sad news follows the postponement of the British Short Track Championships and Britannia Cup.

Alternative dates are being secured with the Open expected to go ahead in March, this information will be published as soon as it is confirmed.

We are pleased to say that the Adult Nationals is still due to go ahead as planned from 26th-29th May.

The full technical requirements for the 2021-22 season have now also been published and are available below.
